Here it is. Entry number 40 in my 40 night experiment in LJ posting. It's been fun, and somewhat revealing to me, as well you the reader. I figure the best way to end this experiment is to review what I've learned in the past 40 nights after rereading all of my posts and your comments on them. It's probably gonna take a while to reread them, but even though I have to be at work by 6:45 tomorrow which is why I'm typing this as early as I am, I still want to end this right. Before I do that, however, I may as well mention a few things what happened today.
I got up around noon today, because my sister needed a ride to her friend's house. It took a little longer getting there than expected, on account of she misunderstood the directions she found, but we got there and didn't waste all that much gas in the process. When I got back I finished off the Cocoa Puffs and rewatched the first episode of Monk I ever saw: "Mr Monk and the Astronaut". I really like the vibes Jeffrey Donovan puts out, which is one of the many reasons Burn Notice is so awesome. Speaking of Burn Notice, at the start of today, our DVR event list didn't even fill one page. Sure, four of the five slots were groupings of shows, so we're still down to around 22 hours, but still, that's the fewest slots we've had filled in a while.
After Monk was over, I played some Arcana Heart, since I haven't played in a while. I started trying to play Story with Maori, but apparently I'm not quite used to her yet. After repeatedly failing to get past Day 1, I switched to Lieselotte and breezed through the week pretty quickly. I even got my first Perfect victory. Surprisingly, it hardly took any time at all to eliminate Mildred. A little less surprising yet still unexpected was the revelation that apparently Lieselotte isn't a complete bitch? I still don't completely understand why, but when she challenged Mildred, she said she didn't like that she was "up to no good". And here I thought the international criminal assassin was more like Kira than she is the majority of the Maidens. Anyway, the ending sequence was pretty cute, because she and Heart have this hilarious chemistry that made her so cute. I'll be honest, Heart is very much my type. She also reminds me a lot of Milfeulle. Now to figure out how I get the bonus pictures, since I have them for all the characters except Yoriko and Maori, yet I only have ending pictures for those that managed to beat Mildred.
Later I watched the first episode of Macross Frontier. It was pretty neat, especially the cute little restaurant jingle. They definitely did a good job of making me like the green haired chick. She's silly. Unfortunately, I think I jumped the gun when I said I could play the HD episodes. a couple times around the middle of the episode the audio became unsunc by like five to ten seconds. Still, it's pretty enough that I'll stick with it for a while.
A couple hours ago I ended the night with the new episode of Psych. I enjoyed it a lot, although it wasn't all that particularly memorable compared to some of the other episodes. One thing I found interesting about tonight's episode, though, is that the number of suspects was somewhat larger than normal. I remember counting at least five. I only had three myself, but Shawn and Gus wanted to share the love I guess. Also, I just realized that Corbin Bernsen's only appearance was in the flashback at the beginning. Huhm.
Alright, time to read through the past 40 nights. Be back in a bit.
*two hours and nine minutes later*
Wow, that took a lot longer than I was expecting. I really hope I get up early enough for work tomorrow. If my head weren't as sore as it is, I'd probably take my advice from a month ago and just not sleep. Hmm, I can't wake up any later than 6am, which means the most sleep I can get is four hours. That's probably enough to let me wake up. What I really need is a little time to rest my eyes, so I'm gonna give it a shot.
After reading through the last 41 posts, I... you know what? My head hurts way too much to focus enough to articulate what I learned beyond "hey, I'm not as bad as I thought," so I'm gonna give it a couple days before I go into more detail on that. Instead I'll repost that LJ comment count meme to compare reader response since the last time. Before I do that, though, I would like to mention that every time I read the responses to my first theme post it makes me feel tingly inside. Thanks again to all of you.

One more thought before I pass out: this experiment achieved at least one of its intended results. I am now very comfortable with posting journal entries. Hooray.
