Giant Saran Wrap
The move went well today, beat the afternoon rain too. The movers wrapped everything nicely with furniture pads and plastic wrap. The top on my old side table snapped, but it was pressboard and was over 16 years old. My brother made it for my apartment room in 1990. That's okay though, the top was this cantilever thing that wasn't very practical, now I can make a new, more useful top. Aside from that, I haven't seen any other problems with the furniture.
They managed to get our huge base cabinet down to the basement, so now we can use that as our laundry station. It's too big for our new kitchen and wouldn't have worked well as a storage unit in the dining room either. My legs are sore from lugging stuff back and forth for the last week, so I haven't done any moving stuff this afternoon. I still have to finish painting the master bedroom and start organizing the basement and garage. Maybe after Heroes...
