Rubbish again!!
I really am CRAP at LJ, I never seem to be able to post consistently even though I want to, I never seem to find the time!! Bugger! Well yet again tons of stuff has happened since last time I posted.....
The parents came out to visit for three weeks in April, it was so awesome to have them here and so awful to have to say good bye : ( I sometimes feel absolutely dreadful for moving here because of what it does to them, I know it hurts them so much that Im so far away and it truely hurts me too to be so far away from my family but at the end of the day I guess I have to be a selfish bitch about it and try not to think about what it does to them. I mean I just cannot return to living like I did in the UK, despite how much I dislike miami (and since going to New York I have come to appreciate miami a whole lot more - there are alway places MUCH worse AND with much worse people!!) I still have a waaaay better quality of life than I would have in the same situation in england, not to mention the fact that I have a very real opportunity once we leave here to live exactly how I have always wanted and worked so hard towards (i.e Somewhere tranquil and beautiful, finally getting to fullfill my dream of owning horses and having land and space - something thats totally unrealistic in the uk unless youre a millionaire). *sigh* I wish someone would invent teleportation already! With the horrible economic situation I cant afford to go home until our wedding next year meaning its going to be over a year until I see them again :( Im hoping Jonna will come out for Christmas, that would be awesome : )
The wedding plans are coming along - we have set a date of June 11th 09 and booked Riber hall. Im so very excited!! All of daniels family shall be coming over which is so lovely and also hopefully a good few of his mates will be able to make it too. We are having a small (the venue only holds a max of 45 people) daytime wedding, then in the evening we are going to have a bbq at my parents house which will be much less formal and hopefully be a damn good piss-up with our nearest and dearest culminating with Mr snapper setting off a few fireworks (no tacky disco for us!!). The following day Daniel and I shall bugger off for our honeymoon staying somewhere fancy on the way (we figured on our actual wedding night we shall be so tired/drunk we propbably wont appreciate staying anywhere fancy and posh so are going to postpone the four poster bedness until the following day). We have decided to go to Wales for our honeymoon - highly exotic!! People keep piss taking about it but they can all fuck off - we LIVE somewhere hot and tropical, we can go lie on a fucking baking hot beach with palm trees any day of the week and would much prefer to spend our honeymoon wandering in the beautiful welsh mountains and exploring castles, something we certainly cant do here!! I cant wait to show daniel such beauty. We shall be over in england for around 6 weeks total so plenty of time to catch up with everyone.
We've been to see several bands which I cant be arsed to write about except to say how much I LOVE live music (despite the abundence of hideous filthy emo kids, all with *that* haircut fouling up the ambience) and then I guess the only other real bit of news is that I passed my american driving test! Such a fucking joke!! It took me 5 minutes to get 100% on the theory test followed by my practical test which took all of 10 mins - no wonder people drive like such shit here, I literally could have done it with me eyes closed (maybe it would have been more amusing if I had!).
AAaaaaaah one day I WILL become a good LJer!!!
