One down

So the show went ok I think. I was running crazy late and it was really stressful. I'll backtrack. I was really excited about this show so I had a hard time sleeping. I think I finally passed out around 7:30 AM after getting off work at 5. I set an alarm for 1:30, but I woke up at 10:30(!) and just laid there until 11. For some reason I was craving cinnamon and raisin biscuits from Hardees. I thought it was much earlier in the morning and was quite bummed when I realized I had missed out. Around 1 I got up to take a shower and run some errands. Went to Abby's for a light lunch. I searched in vain for some cool stickers for the new bass. I even visited Hot Topic and I very rarely drive to the mall. I also needed a strap and some strap locks. Picked those up and putted around Crossroads with Vicky and Greg. After I got home and put those locks on I totally crashed. Forgot to set an alarm and woke up around 8:45. We were originally supposed to play around 8:30 but Sundale canceled so things got pushed back a bit. So I was running around the house like a madman trying to get ready and I totally forgot to eat. Tim and Nathan were texting and calling trying to find out where I was and how long it'd be till I got there. On my way out the door I get a call from my mom asking me if I was coming over with the insurance check for my car. Shit!! Totally forgot to do that earlier. And I had to go now cuz I had to leave after we played to go to work. So I zipped over there, ran in, and pretty much ran out. That was still 10 minutes or more that I lost. Then Tim calls me and tells that they are set up and sitting there waiting. UGH! I feel like a jackass. I get there and Mark meets me outside to help me load in. I was a bit embarrassed by the whole situation, and I knew between Mark and Brandiff I wasn't escaping some jestful (I made up a word!) jabs. At least I didn't have time to get nervous haha. Broke out the new bass which was sweet. And of course since this was this first time I really got to play it I accidentally turned the bass knob all the way up thinking it was the volume and sounded like shit for the first song. Oh well it was a fun show nonetheless. I wish I could have stayed for Stone Cold and Hostile 17. Now my stomach and head are killing me, need some caffeine to make it to 5am.

Leaving sometime in the afternoon for the NC show. Gotta deal with this car/insurance/rental crap before I go which means I'll have to get up early hoping my car is ready. I'll give the lowdown on the upcoming shows when I get back on Monday.
