I'm excited...
My lovely sis-in-law is preggers and I'm going to be an aunt (I know, you've all heard this), but I had a stroke of genius. I'm going to build a diaper cake. (http://www.diapercakewalk.com/)
I don't know who invented them, but they're a great idea. It'll be a great centerpiece at our shower, and I'm really excited about the whole process of making it. Yay! Only thing is, I might need a bit of help with it. Not a whole lot, just, "put your finger here, while I finish this knot" sort of help. I told my stepmother about it, and she thought it wasn't a good idea... "then the diapers have been taken out of the package and they're no longer clean." I felt like saying "Lady, it's going on the kid's ass for crying out loud. And they're not sterile to begin with." (or are they? I don't know.) Anyways, it kinda sounds like I'm on my own with it's construction (I'm sure I can get help from my dad, though). Which is kinda funny, because she'll see the final project and she'll have to admit that it's pretty damn cute. Haha! The jokes on her.
