First day of job! 21st Birthday!

Jun 22, 2006 23:42

I had my first day of work at the hospital today. I made $101.60 too. Training isnt too bad, the people are nice enough and I like finally feeling productive. Maybe I can work nights when my summer camp job is going too. Money for furniture and going to China! I also schedualed a trombone lesson for next week this morning, so I feel really productive. I am keeping up with tuba too, and my scales are finally to the point where I am just working on double tounging them faster. My goal for the summer is to conquer inability and become perfect. At everything. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and got samples of provigil, a narcolepsy drug. It has all the fun-ness of the other stimulants I have used with none of the nasty side effects so far. Hopefully this will keep working for me. I felt a little shaky, but then I was also drinking coffee at work. I am still hyped up, so I went running after I got home. When the narcolepsy isnt getting me down I feel like I can do anything. Beaverton community band has a gig on Sunday that I am going to play in. I am also almost finished with one of my quilts, so I am keeping busy. Life is good. Out.

My 21st Birthday went well and everyone left me nice comments on facebook. I got a lot of chocolate and a translated copy of The Tale of Genji. I also got money to buy Finale! Now all of my brilliant works can have dynamics and accents and all those details that make music musical. It was a small party with people from karate and a few from school. Howard got me the most beautiful flowers ever, a mix of roses and the other one I love but whose name I always forget. I made sushi and it was yum. The funny thing is that my Mom bought a ton of alchohol but no one had more than 2 drinks. That was nice actually. I have one glass of wine and it puts me to sleep, so I'm not going to be much of a drinker. I think we will just return the case of hard lemonaid and stuff. No one drank it and that stuff gets funny. Kara drove up from Eugene to come, so it was great seeing her and her cast with a tu-tu on it. You'd have to see it to comprehend. I think I am done with my ramble now, I just felt like being 21 deserved documentation.
