Policemen Rant
My new goal in life is to make so much money that I can own a country. This way I can make laws make sense and fire all the asshole policemen. Like the one I encountered downtown today. Biking is better than driving right, you dont get parking tickets and its good for the enviornment, exercise, whatever. BUT in Salem if you bike in the street there are no bikelanes and crazy drivers that kill you and you can't bike on the sidewalks. Some blocks have signs that say not to bike there. Fine. Some blocks have no signs and policemen biking on the sidewalks. One might assume this means it is ok to bike there, but it is not. You mind your own buisness, make sure not to ride near any pedestrians and smile at the cops right? BAD IDEA. The cop RIDING HIS BIKE ON THE SIDEWALK will be like Hey, get off the sidewalk. Are there special laws that apply to me and not to him? Maybe in this country I am a special class of person that can't be on the sidewalk because I am inferior. I don't know what it is, but every cop I have ever met has ruined my day when I am just trying to go for a walk in the park, bike instead of driving or help injured people get the the hospital. No joke, I think they must train them to make everyone miserable reguardless of whether it makes sense or not. Go chase a fucking murderer or the guy who almost kills me on the freeway and leave me alone, assholes. The lowest circle in hell is reserved for you people who give me a ticket in the morning three minutes after the meeter becomes active.
