Whats goin on now
So its concert season. Preperations for Colin Powel, Christmas in Hudson and Tour are being made. Next Wednesday, the 30th, is a wind ensamble concert AND I'm finally playing convo. I so ready, not really nervous just excited. I might screw up but thats happened enough that I know life will go on. At least playing with just an accompanist I wont have to worry about whether the other performers will freak out and rush. That happened to the trombone choir at the ensamble concert..it was so nasty. I don't understand it either, I just dont get anxious for concerts anymore. I almost fell asleep on stage during SCO this weekend. At least thats over and I don't have to be their bitch anymore. They just dont bother to keep on schedual or communicate. I don't get paid or credit and they don't respect my time, so from now on I'm going to ask to look at the parts and see if it is worth my time before I say I will play. The last concert was a gorgeous piece but I spent at least 8 hours in rehearsals and performance and about 5 minutes of that time playing.
In other news I have bruises all over my arms from wrestling. Lately I have been hanging out with the bad persons club a lot, which is awesome. But I need to remember to sleep now and then. I went over to a friend's house last night at like 1 in the morning and ended up only getting like 2 hours of sleep. It was so fricking cold driving there that frost formed on my windshield so fast I had to stop twice to use the ice scraper. Leah is coming home with me for thanksgiving and I'm really excited.
