Happy Summer!
It's the first official day of summer, which is pretty awesome. Actually, I am just assuming that it is, because the solstice usually starts on the 21st, so yeah, I really have no idea. Whatever.
Yesterday (technically, since it's early in the AM), Faith was sweet enough to take me to the mall to get my computer fixed. Last night it completely crashed; I was trying to upload pictures from the beach that I took, and it went bazonkers, and I shut it down, but it never woke up! It was like losing a pet, or something, except not really. I was still not happy, though. I kept pressing the button and nothing happened. So yeah, I took it to the store, and turns out that my computer was kind of made with a huge defect, and needed a whole new keyboard. Also, I had them look at the camera, since that wouldn't work, and I guess the wire on the inside completely snapped somehow. So, they gave me a new screen. So basically, I am getting a new computer with the same battery, for free!! Yay!! Also, I got my dad chocolate for Father's Day, nom nom, his faaavorite! :) He will be happy.
After that, I went to Cait's for the s'mores party! :D What a good idea! It was me, Cait, Craig, Taylor B., Taylor K., Shaina, Tom, Brian, Alan, Travis, Dave, Cole, Kelsie, Emma, and Savannah. We ate lots of nommy s'mores, watched a funny video that they made that was put on the Haverhill TV station, played frisbee, and played Scattagories!
My favorite part of the night, though, was when we were hanging out in the house and Cait's mom announced that their kitten, Lilah, was healing miraculously from a bad landing that caused her leg to break into five parts a few weeks ago. The doctor said previously that her leg had to be amputated, but now that it is suddenly healing, she's going to grow up living like a normal cat with four legs. It made me so happy :)! She is so playful and cute and happy. I like cats. I like dogs way more, because they are more fun and sweeter, but recently I've taken a liking to cats because my allergy magically went away. I hope it does for good. And Cait's slutty cat Frankie (yes, it's a girl, haha, named after Frank Zappa) is pregnant for like the fourth time in a row, hahaha. More kittens!!!! Her house always has so many!!! :D They are so cute. Little fuzz balls. ^^
So yeah, it's been a pretty good time. :) Also, everyone seems to have lots of confidence in me and what I'm doing, which is awesome, because sometimes I really wonder if paying $40,000 a year ifor school is the smart thing to do. It is just hard. I guess it's good motivation to work hard -- it'll get me closer to a guarenteed job. Live the life you love and love the life you live, right? :D
So yeah, life is good, I love my life a lot, and I've got some pretty good friends. :) I started writing in a diary again, which is awesome; it's more personal and I love that. Re-reading them years later is always funny/fun. I like seeing my thoughts in words.
Ok, it's time for bed. I think tomorrow we're getting my dad dinner, so that should be om nom. Oh!! And guess what? My pants have gone down two sizes!! :D Awesome! I am still working at this whole eating healthy (with the exception of today's s'morsies :D) and doing lots of exercising, and I'm starting to look better and feel better about myself. :) Yay!!
