This... I don't even know. I want to hate Jim, but I can't because Spock doesn't, and it really is all just so sad and so unfair.

Thank you. I'm not sure I can take credit for this, because it's one of those pieces that kinda wrote itself. I want to hate Jim and I want to hug him. I want to smack Spock and to hug him, too. I can only hope they'll figure it out eventually.

Would you consider doing a follow-up piece? I'd love to read Pike's POV on the relationship. Or a fic when Jim gets space!clap from one of his conquests and he and Spock need to get treated. Then Bones can be all gruff and call them idiots bur secretly be all sweet and concerned.

It's interesting to me, here, how much Spock blames himself. There's no way he deserves all that blame anymore than Jim deserves total absolution, but it's much harder to accurately pinpoint what isn't working when the narrator has self-loathing issues :(

Oh dude, IKR? Spock is impossible like that. I have some vague inkling about what's going on, but he's not making it easy any more than Jim does. Those two.

I've always been big on the TOS OT3, for a lot of reasons that seem to come up in this fic- they can't be enough for each other, and they don't know why, but when there's three of them they seem to have more of a fighting chance.

Maybe they should get a puppy! *snuggles puppy*

i think they really don't talk anymore
Spock is too gentle and passive, i really feel he is content only being around Jim even if it is not sex at all
Jim need a force to driving in he is so helpless, so auto destroying himself for a quite sometime
he loves Spock, but he needs some to catch him, someone who will give him rules to live, someone who need him so desperatly that can manage be possessive and even rough, because he thinks he need to be punished, so he is doing this stupid thing only to feel Spock punishing him or saving him. he need a strong reaction and salvation. I think he is too lost so many time ago to help himself

Spock have no confidence at all in him, he question why jim is with him all the time, so he need to know that jim isn't only with him, so he can feel better for not being strong enough
Why Spock is so helpless i can't understand.
But Spock is not only not wanting to see, he is relief that he have a reason to pitty him self even more, a reason why he is unworthy of Jim or any other
