Peanuts and other cute things!

Well, Peanut is a day after Valentine's day baby, but I think Gokou has gotten over his disappointment pretty fast. Yes, we went to visit today at the hospital. They're hoping ChiChi can go home tomorrow with Peanut, but I just couldn't wait to see her. I brought some food, because well, we all know hospital food stinks. Of course, we had to keep Gokou from eating it all. We also brought a snowsuit, like the one Bulma has for Vicki. I know Gokou loved it so much, so we figured it would make a good baby gift. And we were even able to find one that was navy blue with orange stars on it, would you believe the luck? The colors of Daddy's gi. She might as well get used to them, because I just have a feeling little Peanut is going to be Daddy's little sweetheart. As it was, he's having a hard time letting anyone else hold her. Except for ChiChi maybe. It's so cute. He's so clearly proud of being a daddy again.

And of course, Peanut is the cutest thing. So small, but yet so perfect. And no, Raditz and I don't even know her real name. Gokou is being pretty insistant that ChiChi should be the one to announce that. But something tells me that she'll have the nickname Peanut for most of her life. Even when she's 16 and as tall as her Daddy.

After great coaxing and bribing with food, Gokou finally allowed us to take turns holding her. Raditz was a little nervous. "She's so tiny!" I was about to remind him that Daikon had once been that tiny, but then I remembered, he wasn't around when Daikon was that tiny. Of course BB was a lot older when we got him. But we finally got Raditz to hold her for a bit. I think he was too worried about hurting her to really enjoy the experience! However, when I got to hold her, it took everything I had not to try to sneak her out of there and bring her home. Although I'm sure Mommy and Daddy would not have been happy with that idea at all!

On the way home, Raditz commented that he wouldn't mind if we had a daughter someday, or even another son. (Help! five Boys in the house? *g*) But we're both still agreeing we'd like to wait until BB is in school or almost in school before we have another child. I think I do all right at this mother game, but I don't know if I could put up with three toddlers running around!

And speaking of cute things, it looks like things managed to work out between Beej and Piper, which I have to say, both Raditz and I are thrilled about. We knew something was developing between the two of them. You know, I think they were the only ones who didn't see it, or at least didn't see that it was a mutual thing. But it doesn't matter, because it seems the two of them had it figured out on the roof. I knew things were all right when Beej came down to sneak the flowers he'd bought on his way home from school into her room. "Don't worry, Mom, I told her I was going to get some hot chocolate to bring up to her."

So, he gets the flowers, put them into her room, on her nightstand, and then comes out and starts to rush out the door. "Uh, Cassanova?"

He turned around, "Yes?"

I held up the thermos I had already fixed up for him while he was getting the flowers ready. "Aren't you forgetting something?"

He grinned and grabbed it, giving me a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks, Mom."

"Well, she might suspect that something was up when you returned without what you went for."

"Nah, she'd probably think I really just had to go to the bathroom and was to embarassed to admit it."

*Shakes head* I'm just glad it's all worked out for the best. Because both of them mean so much to Raditz and I, and it's not a lot of fun watching them both suffering.
