Yeah, so far that's the highlight of the weekend, sad I didn't get to go to the Dalek panel though. Fuller-ish review of EMC tomorrow.
Yeah, not much to add in retrospect. There was... free bread? Afterwards went to Guelph with the Con-G people and Dr H and had tacos and played apples to apples. Fun was present in larger amounts than the convention itself.
The news paper article that came out afterwards was pretty awful though. It jumped straight from: You probably think of anime as children's shows like Sailor Moon and Pokemon to: Some uncensored anime from japan contains some very adult content. Way to cut out the middle ground and make everyone think than anime is p0rn. Thank you. They made the BJDs seem just as bad. At least the Dr Who spiel was tame, and they interviewed a lollita who actually knows about lollita. The page layout was pretty awful too, I feel bad for the girl who was doing an archery competition to raise money for breast cancer. The EMC article title was across the top of the page, her picture was nice and larger right under it, and the EMC article was just a tiny column to the side. Well I guess that's what you can expect from a newspaper who will blatantly disregard what the person they are interviewing has said and instead say that CTRL-A is directly related to EMC. Thank goodness no one in the club read that article!
