A few days ago, me and my dad were talking about random stuff in the car on our way to the circus. I can't quite recall what we were discussing at that moment, but I distinctly remember my dad saying, "Cause, you know, America's not a dummy, right?" (I think we were talking about American spies in WWI maybe?) When he said that, I had this huge grin on my face and all I could do was nod and say, "Yes." Oh, Alfred. My dad and I have faith in you~
In more current news, I've started taking my Creative Writing course. And now I'm scared shitless because I found out that I have to bring in copies of my own writing and share it with the class. I am deathly self-conscious, so I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this. When I truly get embarrassed, the heat just rushes in my face and I feel like hiding under a table. I really hope that doesn't happen. Fortunately, our first "workshop" isn't until next week, but still... Man, I was really looking forward to this class. Now I've found out there's only four people (including me). And ALL THREE OF THEM ARE GUYS. I actually like small classes. It feels more homey that way. But one guy only took the class 'cause he heard it was an easy A (the senior) and I'm not really sure about the two sophomores (they're both cute though). Oh well. At least Ms. Harrison's cool. I'm really glad I didn't have Ms. Urban or else I'd totally be screwed. /shudders
I also watched "Chicago" yesterday. It was really enjoyable (but I wouldn't ever watch it with my family because all the implied/implicit sexual innuendos in it would just make it very very awkward for me). Ahhh, I love the Cell Block Tango~ I just adore musicals. Catherine-Zeta Jones makes the perfect catty bitch. And when Queen Latifah was singing that one song, "When You're Good to Mama"--well. Hot DAMN. Is it weird if I found it sexy? (yes. yes it is. definitely.) I've never really liked Renee Zellweger, but she played her role well, so no complaints there. Overall, it was just a really good movie (which are very hard to find nowadays). But kind of short?
On a completely unrelated note, I have a friend who causes me to facepalm repeatedly at regular intervals. She was talking about some shitty cartoon she was watching (she has ignored my pleas for her to fucking grow up) and told me that all the characters have (what she considers) a British accent. Then she said, "So it's either from Britain or England." Admittedly, before I was introduced to Hetalia, I was just as ignorant. But still. I facepalmed. SO MUCH. AHHH I CAN'T STAND IT ANYMOOOORE.
On a much brighter note, my little sis is coming over this weekend, so I'm looking forward to Friday. 8)
