What's been going on lately
Which hasn't been much, to be honest. My 40th B-day came and went without much fanfare - thanks to a bout of either stomach flu or food poisoning. *bleugh* Thanks & *squishy hugs* to everyone for their well wishes. Special thanks to bradygirl_12 and sharpiesgal for my stories and maubast for her prezzie. I *hearts* you muchly. :)
Work continues to suck - Pregnant #1 boss (the 1/2 one) is back and taking up space. She isn't doing much else. We were all caught up while she & the other one were gone - we're not anymore, because she isn't doing her share of checking the work (Everything that involves rates (cover prices, discounts - actual $$$ amounts) has to be checked twice) There are only three of us right now. And right now there is a stack of work about two feet high on our back empty desk that has to be checked for a second time which she has to do - me and the other woman have eiher done it or checked it. The ironic thing of all this - checking things twice WAS HER IDEA - used to be only once until she thought this up to A) make sure there are little/no errors and B) make her look good in front of her boss.
What's going to happen - she'll let it sit back there until it gets so old that it'll be practically useless for her to check it again (because of the changes we get down every day) and then she'll tell us to just scan/file it, thus getting her out of the checking. She's done this before. If she does I can almost guarentee I'll go postal, because it'll just prove how useless she is. As well as being a snot - I've been there 18 years. You DO NOT need to ask me if I know how to do something - chances are I do.

well - almost... Because I noticed that in the first paycheck of the year Obama took back some of the extra $$ he gave me. *gives the federal government the finger* Yeah - thanks for that. God forbid I actually have something extra to help stimulate the economy.
Some good things - Barry was on QVC shilling his latest collection of other people's songs the night of my birthday, looking good for 66, if a little...well, plastic, for want of a better word. Voice is as beautiful as ever but he's beginning to look a little Joan Rivers. You know - where the face doesn't move a muscle when he talks,smiles, sings, etc? Did order the latest CD - will keep you posted as to how it is, but as I said, it's other people's songs again. While I'm glad he's putting out something, the Fanilow in me wishes it had been something "Barry" instead of "other people".
Scribbles - wise: The Eddie/Benny NaNo Epic Therapy fic (as I've started to call it, because the damn thing STILL DOESN'T HAVE A TITLE) has taken over my brain and it currently at 161 handwritten (?!?) pages and counting. It's not even halfway done. They haven't had proper sex yet! Granted - Benny is having major issues, and they have been frisky in the shower - but they haven't had proper sex yet! And every time I think I see a faint light at the end of the tunnel, one (or both of them - they're a good tag team) poke at me and tell me "Wait a sec - all this happened, too!"
And what the hell am I going to do with this monster when I finally get the damn thing done?! Typing it into the PC & editing it alone is going to take me forever...
But because of these two, nothing else has been touched. Every time I try, Eddie & Benny give me these looks. *glares at them both* I'm still hoping that the PE Epic that's almost done WILL get done in time for MW, but as I'm still stuck on that...I'll be damned if I know. *glares at Carter, because it's his fault*
