Where in the world am I?
I realize that I should let everyone know where I am!
First of all, though, I did see my host parents earlier this week! I was really excited to finally see them, as I was getting worried that they would keep on not being home when I stopped by their apartment. We spent about an hour talking, while my host mom laughed at my sunburns and at my choice of favorite Spanish words.
Right. I have been in Florence since Thursday, and am heading to Venice on Tuesday. And yes, that would mean that I am currently in Italy (no longer in Spain). As sad as I am to have left Spain again (and trust me, I am), Italy is another experience... especially the food. Mmmmm. I love Italian food, especially the spaghetti I had for lunch yesterday.
The overnight train from Sevilla to Barcelona to catch our flight from Barcelona to Florence, was utterly fascinating. I enjoyed it!
Yesterday we saw Michaelangelo's David, and today we went to the anthropology museum and saw shrunken heads and misshapen skulls. I liked the skulls! They reminded me of my work at the museum in New York last summer. David was, of course, awe-inspiring.
This is, I realize, an update mostly devoid of useful information regarding how I'm doing. As to that, I say... ergh. I'm too hot to say anything useful. My feet hurt and I'm tired! Other than that, though, it has been a lot of fun!
