David Hewlett was on SGU tonight, for FAR too short of a time in my opinion, but it made me PINE. I YEARN for more Rodney McKay. Ohhhh, sob. Whine whine whine, and cry cry cry. Why can't I have my SGA movie? Why why why why? You PROMISED, Powers That Be!

I miss McKay. Sigh.

And even though Sheppard wasn't in it, there was still McShep, heeeee. In my eyes anyway.

Also Woolsey! I MISS WOOLSEY. I still say he's the best head of Atlantis that they had, topping both Carter AND Elizabeth.

Pout. I want the movie I was promised.

As far as SGU in general? I don't know. I may be out of love with it? Or maybe I'm extracting myself from it knowing that it's canceled? It may just be that there was such a long hiatus that I haven't had time to get back into it. Still, I <3 Eli like eleventy billion different ways. Greer too.

So when I heard Hewlz was gonna be on SGU I thought OH I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AND ELI INTERACT! And I was right, it was brilliant... for the whole TWO FUCKING SECONDS it was in front of me. Really really really wasted Hewlett and McKay's brilliance by only including him in one episode. I wish this show could have gone on longer period, but to add onto that wish, I would have loved to see much more interaction between McKay and Eli.

He called him very bright! That is high praise coming from McKay! He even said he reminded him of a young him, which is obvious and obnoxious but still, high praise coming from McKay. LOL.

I liked their arguing, I liked their needling, I liked that they'd already gone over what McKay worked out and Eli already knew it was fine to go, that he was able to keep up, and the hint that McKay was impressed by him... even as they're arguing over something else.

I loved the "of course then I was carrying less" and you know I think he was going to say weight but Eli piped in with "hair" and completely derailed him. HA. I love it when people derail McKay.

Thanks to SyFy you can watch the ENTIRETY of the Eli N McKay interaction.

I also loved the interaction between Lou Diamond Phillips and Hewlett. Apparently they made friends over the shooting, or LDP makes friends with everyone I'm not sure, but when LDP (sorry, I forget his fucking character name, Tel... Talbot, Telford, Telnut, T-something?) asked McKay to go with them to the ship, my brain went "oooooooooh, intersting." Unfortunately I knew the show was canceled and that Hewlett was only in one episode but still... I found the possibility very very interesting.

I just, I kept imagining Woolsey going home without McKay and Jennifer and Sheppard standing on the steps of Atlantis going "uh.... where's Rodney?" And the answer being "uh, he's on Destiny and you might never, ever, EVER SEE HIM AGAIN." And the look on Sheppard's face as he tries to hide his true feelings in front of Jennifer under a mask of anger.

Sighhhh.... That'd've been lovely.

sgu, sga
