This is one of those challenge thingies from a friend of mine. I never tag anyone because it feels like pressure to me, but if you want to take this up, feel free :)
1.
Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I reread this book every few years to restore my faith in humanity and my appreciation of the absurd. I howl with laughter every time I read it.
2. The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I read this in college. Best graphic novels ever done. Writing and artwork are superb. Words fail me to describe this one. I could write a doctoral thesis on this series and not be done blabbing about it.
3. American Gods by Neil Gaiman. Noticing a lot of Neil Gaiman on this list yet? Honestly, I could fill this list with his books but I'll try to stop with this one. I actually disliked this book the first time I read it. It stuck with me, bothered me, and I had to reread it twice more. I love it. It forced me to think about things that I wasn't comfortable thinking about.
4. Dragonriders of Pern by Anne McCaffrey. I found the book Dragonflight on Rehoboth Ave when I was a kid. It began a life long love affair with all things fantasy and science fiction for me
5. Lord Of The Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien. I read this when I was around Kye's age from the library. Cemented my love for all things fantasy.
6. The Star Wars AND the Star Trek books Yes, I love both equally!
7. Discworld by Terry Pratchett. Joyous absurdity!
8. The Color of Distance by Amy Thompson. This got me interested in environmentalism.
9. The Sun Sword series by Michelle Sagara West. Her Elantra series is a blast too. This is pure fun for me and sparks my imagination.
10. In The Name Of The Wind by Rothfuss. After The Wheel of Time and Game of Thrones books had utterly ticked me off, this brought back my love of big epic fantasy.
