Okay. So. I'm sure a lot of people know about Dead Fantasy, yes? Well, Monty Oum posted a journal on his DA today asking for non-FF-or-DoA womens (preferably) who wear mostly red. I was skimming through the comments, see who all was suggested, when I came across this gem

While that comment is rude, that Naminé render did make me "= /". It certainly came off as a fetish, and I've thought less of the artist after seeing it.

Considering Naminé's "canon" age, and the fact that artists walk a very thin line when it comes to using canonically younger characters in suggestive pictures/poses, as it's not always easy to tell the age of the character in the picture, I can see how it was interpreted as pedo.

So yes, rude comment, but I can see where they're coming from.

This is just from memory, but didn't Monty write in his author's comment that he admittedly fucked up on her anatomy and didn't mean to make her look quite like that? Possible accident?

Looking at the author's comment, for that specific picture, it seems like a quick thing he did for his own entertainment after making the model.

What really pisses me off about this, though, is that this guy is telling Monty, "No, you shouldn't be rendering Namine (because I don't like her), you should be doing Aqua (because I think she's hot)!" It's just... Ugh. :/ Disrespectful for the artist.

Does Monty do commissions? If so maybe the guy thinks throwing around the 'pedobear' word will get him a free commission to prove he can draw Aqua.
