More a question than anything else, and since there are Days spoilers, it's all under the cut.
...Why do people seem to hold Repliku and Xion to different standards?
They both have practically the same story. The only difference being time and the fact that Pliku didn't get to be part of the Organization.
Let's face it, though. They're both Replicas. They both "eat up" memories (Xion just eating up a lot more in a smaller amount of time, and the more she "eats", the faster she "eats") in their own little way, both "betray" and fight their friend, both are HORRIFIED when they find out the truth, both require "reprogramming" by someone, and both attempt to absorb the person supposedly in their way of being "real." They have the same story on different magnitudes, it's just that Pliku's objects of affection are Sora and Namine (he has no one else to interact with, besides Larxene and the Dungeon Trio). Even then, everyone save Zexion and Lexaeus seems "fascinated" with him in their own way--Vexen because he made the kid, Larxene and Marluxia because may help further their plans (and does), Axel because he can be used as a tool. He just doesn't have time to make real friends (and even then, he's "friends" with Sora and Namine).
And even then, Pliku isn't even MENTIONED beyond CoM. He doesn't even make it into the opening of KHII--I checked.
So, why IS it they're held to different standards? I'm mostly just curious as to why this is, as most people I ask about this seem to just tell me, "Well, he's DIFFERENT." ...The only difference I see is that he's a dude with a smaller amount of time to exist.
