Not sure if you'd totally dig my fic recs if I had them, since I tend to lean towards less sexually explicit ZexLex fics... a lot of the issues I have with this pairing seem to positively correlate with the amount of sex.
I (personally) prefer my cup of ZexLex quiet, subtle and with just a touch of snark. Not so big on the 'protector/protected" aspect of it, even with Zexion playing a more manipulative role. You know, Zexion playing weak and feminine in order to get Lex to do his bidding. Mistah Schemer has far more not-stupid ways than that to get what he wants, methinks.
So. To kind of sum it up I have no actual fic recs for this pairing. Though it tends to be the case that I find it better pulled off in fics where ZexLex isn't the main pairing or focus.
Dunno. Just one of those pairings that, for me, a little goes a long way.

OH WAIT. I do have one. Albaofthedifficulttospellnamebath's Red and Yellow does an amazing Zexion and Lexaeus. Actually, an amazing everything. It should be easy enough to find on Y gallery.
