I just had this idea...
Hi guys, this isn't really a rant, but I thought that people might be interested anyway. If this challenge idea isn't allowed, please tell me and I'll try to find another place to put it.
A lot of people complain about not being able to find good fanfics (which is why we're all here, I guess) so to make the search a bit easier, why don't we post links to our favorite fanfictions/comics/whatever? It doesn't matter what genre, pairing, or length it is, just give the link and maybe a quick summary. Say whatever you want about it, why you like it, what the author did well, if it inspired you or provoked some thought.
I only ask for two guidelines for this little challenge:
1. That we all respect everyone's choice. We all have our own preferences and everyone should have a chance to promote their favorite fanfics.
2. That we don't repeat recommendations once someone else posts them. Feel free to reply to the comment and support their choice, but the point of this is to get a variety of 'goodfic' out into the open.
So...yeah. Feel free to post multiple links and recommend your own fanficition. I hope people decide to participate in this and that we all have fun!
