On the Subject of Crossovers.
I am SICK of seeing crossovers with Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, whatever happens to be playing on Adult Swim at the moment, Harry Potter, [insert overwhored series (in terms of crossover usage) here]. Contrary to popular belief, there ARE other worlds that are available for crossover, and ones that could benefit from the attention.
Like Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy (consists of The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife, and The Amber Spyglass. This series is practically bursting with crossover-ability. There's Asriel's breaking the barriers between the worlds, Will's ability to cut into other worlds with the knife, the final battle between the Authority and the Republic, the inquest into Dust...
And with the movie for the first book coming out this winter, it could use the pimping. It screams, "WRITE A CROSSOVER WITH ME!"
So, seriously. Before you write that KH/Naruto/Bleach/Inuyasha/Harry Potter/etc fic, think twice, and see if there's another world you can use.
