I'd been exchanging emails with a friend, and at one point gave him a list of KH characters I'd been converting to the Dungeons and Dragons character classes and sorta roughing stats for.

He (not a KH fan, mind you, and we've agreed mutually to ignore each other's ravings on certain topics, my KH rants among them) gave me this reply.

Believe me, I've read things that make much, much less sense that this. It makes sense to me, somewhat... but Sora is not an idiot! Just cause he can't use a computer the right way, doesn't mean he's an idiot.

I don't even know how to work a computer that well, just enough to know how to fool around and play on it. I never notice how much taller Sora got between KH&COM and KH2, but he defiantly got taller.

You think that controlling him for the whole game(for the most part) that people would know his personally. Same goes for Kairi, Princess of Heart, no darkness what so ever! I'm a big Kairi fan, I like to support character that get bash for no good reasons(like Colette).

I can't do squat with a computer after 1 1/2 semesters of Computer Science. And I'm in college! Sora hasn't even finished high school!

And yeah, I'm pretty much estimating for Sora's height change, too, but he's much taller in KH2.

I ♥ Kairi. She manages to be so pure and full of light that it makes her badass. TAKE THAT LARXENE. Colette is more awesome than I originally thought she was. Nowadays, it's Lloyd I can't stand. D< SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR MOM ALREADY.

Colette is awesome! She'a an angel with pretty pink wings that loves animals. But I do feel sorry for Lloyd, but that most cause he had giant wings! Genis is the best though, nobody can beat him... I mean no on can beat him. With spells like Indignation, Prism Sword, and Meteor Storm, how can he not be cool? Plus he has a personally to kill for.

Every time I take a 'What character from Tales of Symphonia are you?' I get Colette or Genis... would that make me like their daughter? Gelette is love, but so is Colloyd and Yaine. Don't know what Yaine is? Just think about it hard.

YES thank you so much. :D He isn't an idiot at all, it's just that most of the time, he doesn't understand what's going on because someone in the background is messing with him, or...yeah, everything you've said. And he STILL manages to pull through. Also, naive = / = idiot.

I wouldn't say that he was OMG!Super intelligent! but he certainly isn't as stupid as a lot of fans make him out to be.

And a pushover? Um...he beat up Xehanort, defeated Replica Riku and Darkside on his own, and he can beat up Sephiroth by himself as well. Yet he's still a pushover? * tries and fails to make sense of this in her brain *

Let's just say I'm pretty sure he's above average. Maybe not a total genius, but definitely well above the standard set by your typical high-school lowerclassman/middle-school upperclassman.

I didn't think the "pushover" part needed rebuking, since CoM makes it pretty clear that Sora's a vehicle of destruction if he wants to be-- Vexen all but tells him he's too powerful for his own good (to which Sora responds by beating the crap outta Vexen), while Marluxia makes devious plots to use this to his advantage.
