Non-rant: Anime Expo meeting follow-up post
(Apologies if this gets to be spam, but hey, hopefully it'll pay off!)
Okay! So from the last post it seemed there was a definite interest in a group meeting! Therefore, here are some polls so we can get an idea on how many people want to do what, and how hotels and such will be arranged.
For extra info:
- I can do pick-ups from LAX any day before the con, and I can also do a Disneyland day. My house is open to any geeks that need a place to crash before the con starts. If someone needs a drop-off after the con, it will probably have to be the last day of it, as I'm not even certain if I'll suddenly have a class on the last AX day. o_o
Also, I am looking into hotels now. I know that at the least three people (including myself) have plans to go in on a hotel together, with a highly likely fourth person. If you'd like to go in on a hotel and help make it even cheaper, please say so now! The cheapest con-sponsored hotel (i.e. a hotel that gives you a voucher that can be used at one major event) is the Westin, at $139.00 per night (for a quad). That's a bit steeper than I'm used to, so I'm thinking of doing a non-con sponsored hotel unless there's enough people showing interest in sharing a room. If we get a non-con sponsored place, it'll probably be farther from the convention center.
That being said: here's the polls, so if you're attending or planning on attending, answer below! Please do say in comments if you need an airport pick-up/want a Disneyland day/want to split on a hotel, as we'd need to know who to look for!

And a reminder: after March 17th, the registration price goes up $5! Now's the time to register, if you haven't yet!
The price of a hotel depends on the number of people splitting, but for other numbers:
- $50 (currently) for full and complete registration at AX
- Disneyland tickets for one day range between $55-$60, not including food and merchandise you may get.
