I figured out how to make links about an hour after I replied to you (it was in the freaking help section - I'm a moron sometimes), but by then it was really late, and I just wanted to go to sleep. I shall post it now.
And yes, ff.net is being an idiot. As usual. Even when it's running properly, I can't follow links to specific stories/authors on there from other websites. Tis a terrible thing.
There's always one kid in every school with some weird old jalopy instead of a normal car. In this case, Wakka won that honour hands down. Hades is vying for my number one Disney villian spot,too. But Gaston and Kaa are putting up a heck of a fight. They make me laugh. Glad you liked him!
Your critique makes sense, too. I'll rework the summary for one, and I'll work on reducing my character descriptions except when necessary (strange addiction for me - I like to blather on about how people look). The Japanese names...I don't know, but I figure consistency usually looks better than making stuff up. I didn't want to give Sora, Riku, and Kairi English last names, and risk making them too Americanized. But since their first names are Japanese, I thought it would sound better if their last names were the same (besides, I wanted to name them after people from Battle Royale XD). They don't really fit in with either culture, because Destiny Islands is different from America and Japan. But I figured that making everyone have Japanese names wouldn't work, so I threw in a couple different English/European names and mix and matched others like Sumi (Japanese) Caselotti (I think it's Italian, but don't quote me on that).
But thanks for your thoughts and honesty, and I'll work on chapter two. You seriously made my day.
No problem; I hate to see potential goodfic!writers get discouraged by the general populous of ff.net, so I'm glad I was able to give some encouragement. While it's totally up to the author whether or not they want to keep up a fic, really I can't see what leaving it up hurts (besides maybe your feelings, but like I mentioned earlier - you could end up getting reviews for it years down the road. XD), since as far as I know, ff.net doesn't have a limit to the number of stories you can post.
I definitely agree with you on the issue of consistancy with the names. As of right now, I've never tried to write a fic involving Sora/Riku/Kairi's parents, so it's never been an issue to me that they don't have last names, but I can see how refering to someone over and over as "so-and-so's mom" or "so-and-so's dad" would get kind of tedious.
I forgot to mention this, too, cuz it was late and my brain was starting to shut down - Hades at the end, there, was wonderfully awesome and creepy. I liked it a lot. * . *
