Hello! Lurker crawling out from under her rock...although probably not permanently.
This isn't a rant, but rather a question relating to a rant I saw here a while ago. It was about how authors hold their fics ransom for X number of reviews (which is freaking annoying). I was wondering if deleting a fic because no one is reading it is the same kind of deal. I know from previous experience that at ff.net that if you don't get any reviews within two days, you can kiss any readers goodbye (no one's willing to anything everybody else hasn't, apparently). I just don't see the point in investing time in something that nobody is interested in, but I don't want to be all bratty and self-important about it. Because "nO 1 lYkEz MaH fIcCy OmGz!!!1 U sUx *cries*" is a crappy attitude, and I really don't want to be thought of like that.
And if it isn't a bad thing to remove it, how long do you wait to see if the situation changes? I just want to be mature about it, instead of sulky and indignant. We all know what that's like.
*Edit - Thanks to everyone for your advice. *hands out gratitude!cookies with extra chocolate chips* I've decided to leave it up just in case someone does read it, and will be trying other places. It's already up at KH Fanfic Archive as well as the Pit, and I'll give a link once I freaking figure out how. Technology eludes me.
