What's up with people making King Mickey human just so he can do Riku?

Let's be honest: it's not hot. This is Mickey freaking Mouse we're talking about.

I've read fics where he just randomly strolls into Riku's bedroom (Riku has a bedroom in the darkness, apparently), and Riku remarks "The king chose to use his human form...", the very same human

You know... Mickey always seemed like such an honorable mouse. Noble, kind, and one of those rare types of creatures that wouldn't dream of cheating on his wife of 60+ years... Regardless of whether or not he actually had romantic interest in Riku.
