It's kind of disorienting when there's a fire a few blocks down from your house, but you couldn't tell unless you were watching the news. Apparently the abandoned warehouse across the street from the residential area where my parents' house is caught on fire somehow at 2:30pm. What's even more upsetting is the number of highway patrol cars that were out on the freeway - I passed at least 3 of them and then there was at least 4 heading in the opposite direction like they were chasing after someone. Real life sucks.

Then there's the weird string of odd things happening on campus. Well, maybe not odd, but weird enough to put a finger on. My roommate set off the fire alarm a few weeks ago..at night - that was not fun. Before that was a partial campus blackout that included CV, I believe. And then last Monday night/Tues morning was a near-campus-wide blackout. Fun.Fun.Fun.

I guess it doesn't help when I just spent the weekend watching the majority of Noir. :P

In other news, the two out of four midterms I have taken so far went okay. What sucks is there was no break right after as I had to do homework, and then I have a project due this Friday that I haven't started on. And then I can start another round of midterms, last minute scrambling of projects/homework/etc., then finals.

I'm sad to say that after today's events, I'm going to be even more paranoid about having to drive by myself.
