I went for a wonderful hike today at the Sandia Crest just East of the city. The mountain top had its first snowfall of the season a couple of days ago and I was anxious to play in it. It turned out to be a perfect because my father-in-law Wendel flew into town for business and wanted to do something. I was glad for an excuse to just hang out. We took our 15 yr old nephew and 13 year niece with us...it was great fun. We all went out to dinner afterwards and made an attempt to find the newer 2006 Godzilla with no success. Jacob and Abby are lots of fun. They ended up picking Van Helsing.
It was freeing to be out in the snow and the windy drive up was quite enjoyable. I looked at the nature around me and felt inspired to capture a few photos. It felt as if I had taken too long to be outdoors.
