well after some careful evaluation, and after experiencing the might that is logic pro 6, i've decided to nix reason 2.5 from my music arsenal. mostly because it's limited in fidelity, and very linear programming wise. Of course there are work arounds to those problems, but i feel that having to spend too much time to get what you want can cause

an interesting study a friend of mine did, aparently he found some site that said something along the lines of fruity loops being much better fidelity wise than reason. at first i didn't believe it, but once i got pro tools, i started noticing the difference in quality. well i don't really use pro tools anymore, i'm too stuck in logic pro 6 right now, and learning the beast, i was actually thinking of picking up cubase sx 2 when i got logic, but i was informed that logic would be a better choice for mac since it's built for dual processor g4's and g5's. Since Apple bought out emagic, they fully intergrated compatibility with the software and osx, so it would be a much more stable choice. that and it comes with everything and the kitchen sink. what it boils down too is before i settle down and start making some solid tracks, i'm experimenting with all sorts of different ways of making music, and sharing my experiences with people. it may make me a snob, but that's part of what being in a subculture is all about :P
i remember a time when you were pretty snobby too :D
