well after some careful evaluation, and after experiencing the might that is logic pro 6, i've decided to nix reason 2.5 from my music arsenal. mostly because it's limited in fidelity, and very linear programming wise. Of course there are work arounds to those problems, but i feel that having to spend too much time to get what you want can cause you to lose inspiration. with that in mind i have been attempting to streamline my music workflow, to better acomodate my creativity. that and reason is a non essential program with logic on my computer ^_^
so what i'll do from now on is sequence in logic (once i learn the beast, 800 page reference manual plus 10 manuals for the higher end plugins (53 plugins in total for this program) an installation manual and a getting started guide) all of which weighs a ton, but i've skimmed through all of the plugin manuals, got the essential parts from the 160 page getting started guide (the getting started guide is 160 pages, WTF) and now i'm moving on to the reference manual.
i've also decided to take a master certificate in producing from www.berkleemusic.com because they offer all the things i want to learn in that course, and all at a semi reasonable price (7k us as opposed to the 35k us full sail charges). now all i need is a student loan. if any of you know where i should go to get a student loan, let me know as i'm very interested in persueing a career in producing music.
