Challenge: [221] Spellbound
Title: Trick
Word Count: 192
Notes: Oh my, I've written fluff. I was a little stuck in finding a premise for this challenge, and I'm not entirely satisfied with what I turned out (or the title of it), so I will probably attempt it again with a second entry. Anywho, beware the sappy fluffy bunnies, for they will riddle you with flesh wounds rot out your teeth!
Her hair is soft like light, long and flowing and drifting in the breeze over eyes that smile at him, with elation and questioning and just a hint of challenge, and he has to catch his breath so that he doesn’t drift away in her quavering laughter, in the shining brilliance that pulses from within and keeps him transfixed; the ground almost falls away and he almost teeters back into the familiarity of her heart, the soft reflections of childhood as fragile as glass and brief as the dying sunlight that curls across his skin before sinking into the horizon.
The same breeze snags his brunette bangs and tugs them adamantly in front of his own eyes, winding and twisting in stark contrast to its gentle dance around her form, and he would grumble for a moment (and maybe there would be a passing mention of haircuts), except that there are more serious matters at hand.
“Kairi…give me back my -”
But she’s gone before he can speak another word, sprinting down the beach with a navy shirt clutched in her hand and the ghost of a kiss left on Sora’s lips.
