This entry is decicated to Cleopatra Selena Antonia Ceasar, Daphne and Jane's dear pet fish who went to the big fishbowl in the sky the other day.
Here is a little ditto that I came up w/ this afternoon:

Amount that comes out of my pocket: $14,400
Feeling at home the first week of school: free
Learning from and getting to know some of the smartest people in the country: free (unless you count tuition)
Having meaningful conversation and discussions w/ the above ppl: free
Making friendships that will last a lifetime: free
Perfecting the art of the all-nighter: still paying for it
Running around downtown in the rain: free
Attending the most amazing and awe-inspiring performances of my whole life: $3-$8/ event
Finding inner peace: free
Laying in the Quad and enjoying nature: free
Walking down the street and recognizing ppl and having a conversation with them or saying hi: free
Long, deep conversations that last a whole night: free
Knowing that I will always have a shoulder to lean on or a hand to hold: free
Bonding w/ my sister: however much I spend on groceries
Improvements in my relationship w/ my parents: free
Realizing that I've learned and discovered things that I wouldn't have if I had stayed at home: cost of room and board
Finding inner peace: however much the therapist bills cost
Doing well at one of the toughest educational facilities in the state: free
Realizing that there are two sides to every story: free
Realizing that I'm stronger and more mature than I thought I was: free
Discovering my passions
Attending a protest: free
Knowing that some people are ahead of me, some are behind me, but I'm right where I need to be: priceless
In other news, I discovered that I have bf named Fang in Sp. class on Monday, I realized just how awful our alma mater is, I caught up on the Gilmore Girls episodes that I missed, and got choked up by watching the OC. Tonight, Megan, John, Kelsey, Kristin and I went to see the protestors outside of an anti affirmative speech that was going on. Kristin and I got pictures. I saw Professor Vernal's two kids (she's my favorite prof). It would've been so amazing to see Martin Luther King talk, but the NAACP will do. I'm pissed off at the Kalamazoo College Republicans. I just found out that one guy who I think is really nice and cool crossed over to the dark side. They also got some K students kicked out of the President's speech in K-zoo on Mon. b/c they weren't "Republican enough."
I just saddens me that some many intelligent, nice and totally awesome people are helping dumbass wreck the country (and ppl wonder why I want to move to another country when I'm older). I have to go and watch the series finale of "Friends" even though I rarely watch it and when I do, I'm not very impressed. Oh well, shouldn't be that bad. Ciao!
