We're about to introduce a new product that measures the electrical response of the brain to sound waves in order to determine if the patient can actually hear the sound. This is especially useful in testing babies, small children, and the mentally disabled who cannot cooperate in a normal hearing test. In order to do these tests, we place three electrodes on the patient's head. These electrodes have cords that are connected to a small electronic box.
One of the problems with doing this type of testing is that the same types of patients who can't cooperate with conventional hearing tests are the same types of patients who may move around a lot and cause the electrodes to be dislodged, so we need some sort of headband to keep all the connections in place. I was thinking it would be really cool if we could find someone local to crochet us some elasticy headbands for some extra cash... nothing super fancy. The quantity would probably be 3-12 a week once production gets started in a month or two and if we make it a standard accessory. Less if we make it an optional accessory.
Does anyone know anyone who may be interested? The Portland area would be best, but we could also work with someone else out of the area as long as they were dependable. I'm going to post to Craig's List, but I thought I'd start here first.
