Battlestar Galactica at the Bagdad

Feb 21, 2009 00:56

The Bagdad has been showing the final episodes of Battlestar Galactica every Friday for the past five weeks. This is the first time I've actually gone... turns out this otherwise bleak, depressing (but excellent) season is much funnier with beer and a full theater of crazy Portland fans. We got there an hour before BG started, and even then had to sit all the way in the back of the balcony... although we did score a couch. Unfortunately, they're showing it right off the Comcast feed (admission is free), complete with unending KFC commercials. As a bonus, we got to watch an extra super cheesy vampire show right before BG. It has the guy who played Logan from Veronica Mars. Oh how I miss you, Veronica!

Veronica sits in her favourite chair and she sits
very quiet and still
And they call her a name that they never get
right and if they don't then nobody else will
But she used to have a carefree mind of her
own, with devilish look in her eye
Saying "You can call me anything you like, but
my name is Veronica"
