LJI Week 5: The Story of Evil and Revenge (Not)!
Note from alycewilson: This is KFP's entry for LJ Idol (http://therealljidol.dreamwidth.org) on the topic "Kayfabe." When I explained to him that it basically meant play fighting, he came up with an idea about LEGO mini figures who are friends being played with by a boy who pits them against each other. Below is his comic followed by his descriptions of the visuals and text. You can click on the image to view it larger.
Block 1: The boy dumps his LEGOs onto the floor.
Block 2: One minute of LEGOs later, a mini figure walks out of his house holding a jar.
Block 3: The same mini figure holding the jar and another mini figure are walking towards each other.
Block 4: They stop walking, and the mini figure with the jar puts the jar down and says, "We meet again." And the other mini figure says, "Oh, yes we do!" They are both smiling.
Block 5: The mini figure with a white torso says, "I am summoning the ultimate tarantula or whatever it is called!" And then the mini figure with a black torso says, "Oh, no!"
Block 6: A giant spider falls from the sky and says, "Hello! I mean GRRR!" And the mini figure with the black torso says, "Oh, my!"
Block 7: Then the same mini figure says, "I will hug -- I mean, destroy you." The spider says, "Oh, my!"
Block 8: Then the same mini figure again picks up the jar from the ground, takes off the lid and waves his arm with the jar in it so the stuff in it, which is confetti, flies out while he says, "Zap!" Then the spider hops onto his back and says, "Oo, confetti -- I mean, BLEH!"
Block 9: The spider whispers, "When can I stop pretending to be dead?" And the mini figure with the black torso says, "I am sorry -- I mean, victory!!!"
Block 10: The mini figure with the white torso appears and flings the spider out of his way, and the spider says, "Wee!" And the same mini figure says, "You may have defeated my --" And the other mini figure interrupts by saying, "I will now summon the scorpion of destruction!"
Block 11: Suddenly, a giant scorpion falls from the sky. The mini figure with the white torso says, "Hello -- I mean, Oh, no!" And the scorpion thinks, "Huh?"
Block 12: The scorpion says, "Let's hug -- I mean RHAR!" And the same mini figure says, "Sorry, but I have a helicopter to catch" and then thinks, "What? Waaa!"
Block 13: The same mini figure again says, "Up, up and away! Waaa!" while he holds onto a ladder attached to a helicopter, which is pulling him up into the sky. The scorpion says, "Aawww" as he hits the ground.
Block 14: The mini figure with the white torso says, "You haven't seen the monkey of me (wait, what?)" Then the other mini figure says, "OK, good bye" as the scorpion walks away.
Block 15: Back at the boy's point of view, he is playing with his LEGOs, and the mini figure holding onto the ladder thinks, "Waaa!" And the scorpion says, "Good day" to the spider, and the spider says back, "Good day to you, too." And the other mini figure thinks, "Hey, you, don't break my back," because the boy is pushing him back a little hard.
Block 16: The boy's mom says, "Time for lunch," and the boy says "Coming." And the helicopter and both mini figures fall to the ground. The helicopter gets smashed to smithereens, and one mini figure says "Ouch" and the other says "Oof."
The End
