Yay... my wacom tablet is alive again!  It looks like the power blurp we had the other night upset it.  Unplugging the tablet's power supply and plugging it back in again seems to have cleared up the weirdness.

I do find that a bit odd, as everything was on a UPS, but if that's what it takes to fix it, so be it!
