I could sure use a Kit-Kat.

Well, I feel like I did a bit of stuff today. I worked a little more on my "short span" image. Basically just dumping some more colour into it and stuff... not on my own PC right now so I won't torment anybody with images.

Though last night I did get to watch π on referal from normanrafferty, which scored reasonably high in my books. Though I do have to admit to feeling that both the corporate interest and the Hebrew numerologists were too easily placated and "dropped" from the story. But that's just me!

Spent part of the afternoon tearing down the poor dilapidated fence that runs along my front walk. The fence actually belongs to my neighbour, but we both agree that it's rotten, and being only 3 feet tall, doesn't really isn't worth even trying to salvage. It had bugged me for quite a while, as it just happened to rot and lean over my walkway and didn't affect the other yard at all. I was rather pleased with how easily the whole thing came apart in three big sections. I dismantled one section completely, stripping out all the nails, but the other two will have to wait. My attention span sort've sputtered!

The other part of the afternoon I spent writing a little more code and sipping coffee... not much in the way of other things to divert my attention, but still didn't have all that much luck focusing. Ah well, just what Sundays are for, I s'pose.

This early evening I decided to bite the bullet and let Windows do the supah-intensive scan-disk to see if I could pinpoint why said OS is so very cranky and slow. Right now after a couple hours it has finished scanning 51% of the drive, so I figure there's a bit of time to go yet!

I did a little more cleaning and organising around the house... most definitely one of my weakest skills, and well... it's tough for a lot of different reasons. One of them today was that I kept coming across items that weren't mine, and all the memories and personal baggage that go along with it. Of course, my problem is that "cleaning" anything means taking it all apart and looking through everything that might be in a box or pile or whatnot, and getting caught up in the events that put the stuff there in the first place. Le sigh. That's what we get for having big brains, I s'pose.

I'm thinking that it's probably a good time to call of trying to really work on anything tonight, and maybe tramp down to Corydon for a change of scenery and a coffee. I need to buy a bus pass anyways (going on to week 4!!), and I have a good feeling that The Second Cup will have a Vanilla Bean Latte with my name on it when I show up there.

And that's life in a nutshell!

fence, erode, corydon, computer, demolition, rust, list, memories
