... my few minutes of fame, a little reading, and my full name on national radio.
For any folks that happened to listen to
FreeStyle they actually read my little story about me, Elsie, and Styrofoam. It came under the topic of "worst sounds ever" where Marsha Lederman, one of the hosts, has talked about how her sister could not stand the sound of Styrofoam. The other host Cameron not only said that he'd never heard of such a thing, but figured said sister was most likely alone in the world with her styrofoamy issues.
A-ha, no! I know pure hate for Styrofoam. If makes me cringe just thinking about it, it sets me on edge. I want to writhe in agony when it squeals.
I needed to write the CBC and let them know that there were more of us.
And so there ya go.
The tale basically recounted me setting up my flat-packed TV stand and not only dealing with the Styrofoam when I un-packed the parts, but also with a new puppy-dawg. Ms. Puppy felt it best to chew through all the Styrofoam with great zeal, squeaking away like a possessed bedspring. Meanwhile I'm trying to take that awful material from the dog in the same way that Superman tries to fight his way through kryptonite. It wasn't pretty.
But hey, it's always amusing to hear your own little tale on the radio!
