back in the us

So England was amazing.

I want to live in London.

We were rushed out of Hyde Park because there was a car bomb on the street we were walking on and then we were delayed a day from flying home because of a terrorist threat in Heathrow. Our entire terminal, terminal 4, stood outside in the rain for 5 hours and then slept in the airport. I spent 24 hours in a disorganized, frantic Heathrow Airport.

And even after all that, I say FUCK YOU TERRORISTS, i'm going to live in London.

I just did some research. Disney Consumer Products, aka Disney Publishing has a main headquarters in the UK. I'm going to talk to my boss after I start work for a few days and mention that I want to go to the UK after my internship. Hopefully, my HR advisor can help me out with that.

I want to be there, alone, meeting people, having fun, and working at a job I love. It's true that there's no place safer to live than the US. I really think that's true. But there are so many more exciting places to live, better places to live, that aren't caught up in the arrogance of the US, it's people, and it's government. I don't want to open up a political argument so i'm going to stop there. I'm just saying from my experience, despite the car bombs and terror threats, I loved London and I want to spend the rest of my life there.

That said, I start Disney tomorrow. I can't wait to get out of the house! I absolutely hate it here and I hope that the next 3 months of my internship go by fast and that I finish with an offer for a full time position. I'm determined to work my ass off and suck up to whoever I have to to get out of my parents house and out on my own. I guess tomorrow will determine how much I'm going to like Disney. We shall see. I know I'm going to hate the 80min commute every day but whatever, I'll suck it up for 3 months.
