Because I posted it to Council...

I would like to take a moment to respond to Vitae's comments in the Brujah Coord vote. The Vitae CM said:

"... we won't support a Coord who removes himself from the Coord list when he doesn't like what he hears."

I never removed myself from the Coord list. I turned off individual email delivery for about 10 days but still had full access to the yahoogroups, which I did check during this period.

The reason why I turned off individual emails is because I was dealing with an issue that a few Coordinators disagreed with, and they decided to use name calling and insults. Rather than receive dozens of such emails, I discussed the matter with the Cam Coord, who has oversight on my particular office, and he agreed with what I was doing. I then told him that I was turning off Coord list emails because the current discussion was going nowhere and only causing excessive anger/drama, so I asked him to make sure any actual Coord business was brought to my attention (of which, during this period, two issues were brought up, one by Jenn and one by Loopy, that I responded to). Tim misunderstood and thought I had left the Coord list altogether and told the other coordinators that I had left the list. Regardless, during this period, and for everything I have done as Brujah Coordinator, I have been in constant communication with the Cam Coord to make sure that I was proceeding in a manner that was supported by his office.

Unfortunately, this type of behavior is not an isolated incident. If it had been, I might not have reacted the same. However, on multiple occasions, there have been individual coordinators who have insulted, belittled, or otherwise berated/talked down to other coordinators on the list because they disagreed with something that coordinator was doing. These coordinators were not part of the Exec Team, nor had any oversight into the other persons genre/field of coordination, but still insisted on impressing their views/opinions/desires upon the other office and then resorted to the aforementioned behavior when they didn't get their way.
