Of course I already knew that Clarion was awesome, but in case I needed proof - one of my classmates arrived with a signed book contract in hand! That was Matthew Cody, in August 2007, for his middle-grade book Powerless.  It's about Daniel, a "powerless" boy who finds himself in a town full of Superkids.
