A Reading at Borderlands

Jul 12, 2010 00:46

On Saturday, several of my favorite author-people got together to hold a reading at Borderlands, my favorite bookstore. It was in support of the Write-a-thons currently underway. It was mainly aimed at Clarion Westies, but there was a plug for the Clarion one was well...

The readings were awesome and compelling, and the company was excellent. Karen Joy Fowler was there, and Pat Murphy, and Debbie Notkin, and Ellen Klages. Erin Cashier, and Rachel Swirsky, and Jed Hartman and Tim Pratt. I met KT Sparrow (who I "knew" from Codex) for the first time, reading her story from a new anthology. And many, many more.

Borderlands has a cool new cafe, right next door to the bookshop. I'm going back.

If anyone wants to sponsor authors, here's the link for Clarion San Diego.

And here's one for Clarion West.
