"On Your Six" by Mooncombo (mooncombo)

Summary: Because they are one big, dysfunctional, sometimes happy family. And they watch out for each other.
KEW note: Totally charming team fic with lovely Ziva & Abby friendship, Palmer, and Tony/Ziva moments, to mention just a few.
"Lateralus" by chossytoss
[PG-13, ensemble, ~45,000 words]
Summary: The sudden loss of Tony leaves Ziva and McGee in a painful struggle to find answers and keep each other from tearing themselves apart - and the sacrifice could cost them everything.
KEW note: I've been following this story on and off and it's now complete. It's a very complex, action-packed look at grief. I find it quite interesting.
"The Cyber Mole's Lair" by Channel D

Summary: When agent Daniel Keating comes under suspicion again, Gibbs' team has to investigate. Tim winds up in the thick of it.

Summary: Where would Tony and Ziva be if they'd taken ALL of the chances we know they've had?
KEW note: This story is complete for now, but the author hasn't ruled out adding some new chapters once season 8 starts airing.

Quote: He likes playing the piano. It’s this odd feeling, like being crazy calm and totally invigorated all at once. And the music - he loves the music. One of the first things he remembers of his parents’ house is hearing piano music (Mussorgsky, he’d guess now, all power and righteous ability) striking out from the speakers in the living room, while his Mom and Dad read Foucault and did a crossword, respectively.

Summary: It was Tony and McGee who got into this mess, of course, by getting attacked in the suspect's house, but if they hadn't they might have missed the most important part of the case: The underground group that dealt in the trade of children.
KEW note: I've forgotten to include this story in previous Weekly Recs posts. Six chapters are complete so far.

Summary: "Does it hurt?" She asked him, her living green eyes meeting his dead ones. "Being dead, I mean." He smiled a little, his eyes far away, and before he could answer, he slipped away, his glowing outline melting into the air.
KEW note: I thought the author's writing style was unusual, interesting, and at times quite beautiful.

Summary: An investigation takes the team to Pearl Harbor as Tony and Ziva try to navigate their 'relationship', Gibbs tries to look the other way, and McGee tries to get a clue.

Author's Summary: Tension erupts at NCIS when Jeanne returns to D.C., pursued by an arms dealer searching for a naval weapon previously owned by her father. Tony struggles to maintain control and keep his developing relationship with Ziva a secret.
