KEW note: Pick of the week. I love this little team piece, which I picture being set in season 3 when Ziva is still assimilating. It's funny and very in-character.

Summary: Gibbs’ team is called to investigate the particularly brutal murder of a female SEAL. The man who found her body, Lieutenant David Karofsky, claims to be her best friend, but both Tony and Gibbs agree that he’s hiding something.
KEW note: I know nothng about "Glee", so I have no idea if this tale works from the point of view of that fandom, but I like it as an NCIS story.

Summary: Gibbs sees an opportunity to improve Director Vance's opinion of DiNozzo. Will Vance give him a fighting chance? Will DiNozzo behave? Seems unlikely, doesn't it? A new development finds Gibbs in danger...what's a DiNozzo to do?

Summary: An aircraft carrier off Bahrain is attacked during a Family Weekend and training exercise with the Israeli navy. While Ziva investigates Israel's involvement, Gibbs and Abby are called to help DiNozzo figure out what happened.

Summary: Seven years ago, Jimmy helped put away a dangerous killer. Now, that same killer is on the loose and looking for retribution.

Summary: “... Drive me home.” The words were said quietly and once out between them, she turned to head for the elevator. Tony sat there in some sort of temporary shock, trying to get the words to register properly, until he heard the ding and the familiar woosh of air as the doors parted. He quickly shoved away his papers, shut off the light, grabbed his bag, and ran for the doors himself. He made it just in time to slide into the elevator next to her, leaning against the wall and staring at the now glowing button for the garage.

"Fitting Pieces" by Detour *NEW
[T, Tony, Gibbs, pre-series, written before 8x22 "Baltimore"]
Quote: The cops on scene weren't having problems keeping the perimeter clear, but one stupid tourist with a camera had started taking pictures, and suddenly a half dozen people were trying to snap a souvenir, making it a busy evening. Cameras were confiscated, and threats of being taken to a holding cell issued, but neither the cops nor the onlookers seemed extremely concerned. It was just a dance, and one none were more practiced in than the reporters who camped to the side of the observers. But even they were strangely listless, saying the right words, asking the expected questions, but without strong interest. Murder was not a novel concept in Baltimore.
