Yesterday evening after dinner, we we went out for a walk to find ourselves being pelted by snow flurries while walking to and from the post office. Virtually nothing stuck, but it was cold.
Today, we tackled more Reno-area errands. We took all of the recycling (and there was a lot of it) to the transfer station, which made enough room in the Rolling Stone for the rest of our planned shopping. We then popped out to Gold Ranch for another round of lottery tickets. I won $8 in the last draw, but did not feel like waiting through the huge queue to cash them when I could just use the self-service machines with no wait to buy new tickets. It's a pity that the machines won't let you feed them winning tickets and then apply that toward new tickets.
Returning to Reno, we went to RESCO, the restaurant supply company from which we bought the commercial spray faucet we installed in our kitchen. The spray fitting had broken, so that whenever we used it, it would spray water sideways as well as down. A new spray face place was only about $13.
There were a couple of things we wanted for the travel trailer and the RV, but when we checked out Safari RV, we found that one item (a new electrical switch) wasn't in stock, and the other (covers for the RV's tires for when it is laid up so as to keep the sun off) was only Made In China.
Butcher Boy Meats is a good quality (with prices to match) place that is promoting their large run of different kinds of sausage. We bought some elk sausage and also a lamb sausage; I also decided to try their elk salami.
The original plan was to try WinCo Foods again, but their parking lot was nearly full, and we could see that people were waiting outside for shopping carts to become available. We balked at that. Maybe next weekend we can manage to get in their overnight. Instead, we went to the Raley's in south Reno and got a small number of other things, after which we went home, having been out for around six hours
