After a week of steadily warming weather, temperatures dropped by more than 10°C, wind blew hard enough to blow over our trash cans, and late in the day it started snowing. There wasn't a lot of snow in this one (only 1-3 mm accumulation), but the wind made it look worse. Click through to see the little bit of video I shot from the front porch as a train rolled through.
Not on the video was the train sounding its horn as it came through town, possibly due to low visibility because of the blowing snow making it harder for the crew to see if anyone was ahead of them, crossing the tracks as people are known to do around here.
