Hangover Without the High
I really did get to bed before midnight and was not awakened by fireworks or people shooting off guns to welcome the new year. (Lisa says she heard fireworks but didn't go out to look; too cold.) Lisa and I don't drink alcohol, and our excitement last night consisted of going out to dinner locally, playing slots for a little while, then coming home. But somehow this morning I woke up with a headache and feeling generally poorly. Not awful, just sort of achy. Well, at least there wasn't much to do today.
