New Year, New Virus

Lisa and I went back into Reno last night, first to have dinner at the Nugget and get our entries for the 11 PM drawing activated, then to go shopping, then to return to the Nugget for the drawing itself. Our slot machine luck finally caught up with us, but I ended up winning $20 at video blackjack and Lisa got a nice payout from the Batman machine

yeah, my puter got that virus just before out las vegas trip - I took it to geek squad, since I had extended warranty including 1 virus removal; fine now

I keep Malwarebytes installed and updated on all my computers (and the children's) because it has been so effective with those and other viruses for me.

Do you know if this is this a "1st day of the year" attack or will it hit whenever I turn my XP box back on?

I think it may have only been a coincidence, since there appear to have been reports of the thing going back some months. It didn't affect me when I turned the machine on this morning, for instance.
