Lion King was brilliant.
And dammit if that opening Circle of Life number didn't have me leaking saltwater in the first 2 minutes of the production, it was so amazing.
The costumes were incredible - the way they were designed to look and move like the animals by using the human body as a base structure. I think my favourite was the leopard, who moved so naturally that you did, yet didn't even notice the human pulling the strings. Sets were fantastic - the use of space and colour worked brilliantly.
I was reminded of the incredible things we humans are capable of creating as I watched this show.
Isn't it funny how the true potential of humanity is most apparent in art and science, yet politics seem to bring out our weaknesses more than our strengths.
It was a very good night.
